Joyful Upsurge

Joyous Surge is an acrylic on canvas painting, part of the Play Time series. In this series I am exploring the experience of playfulness, both as an artist, playing with my materials, or of my subjects, playing alone or with others: tumbling, stretching, posing, teasing. This painting is an expression of the feeling of joy welling inside you when summer arrives or when falling in love with a beautiful human being.
