Night and Day is an acrylic on woodpanel painting, part of the Play Time series. In this series I am exploring the experience of playfulness, both as an artist, playing with my materials or of my subjects, playing alone or with others: tumbling, stretching, posing, teasing, playing with the wind in their hair or on their naked skin. The title of this painting is a play of words from the famous Cole Porter song: Night and day, you are the one, only you beneath the moon and under the sun. It is an homage to all the mothers in the world for their love and dedication to their offspring.
