The Sphinx Yudha is an acrylic on woodpanel painting, part of the Play Time series. In this series I am exploring the experience of playfulness, both as an artist, playing with my materials or of my subjects, playing alone or with others: tumbling, teasing, playing with the wind in their hair or on their naked skin. This painting was inspired by the beautiful Yudha stretching and posing like a sphinx on heat.
